Outrider Press has published many acclaimed books including Whitney Scott's Listen to the Moon, a collection of prize-winning poetry, and Dancing to the End of the Shining Bar. Since 1996, Outrider has produced the renowned "black and white" anthology series, so named because of their unique signature covers, each different but all designed solely in black and white.

Outrider Press Inc., in affiliation with the TallGrass Writers Guild, publishes an annual anthology on a different theme each year.

Themes and General Guidelines

The following four information points serve as a rough guide, and are only a portion of the complete guidelines:

· Deadlines for each year’s submissions are the same: February 27. Email outriderpress@sbcglobal.net for information about possible deadline extensions.

· Previously published/simultaneous submissions OK w/notification.

· Entry Fees: $16 for members / $12 for TallGrass members for each story or essay and for each group of poems up to four.

· Fiction and essays to 2500 words; poetry to 28 lines.
